An Art Museum Hotel Opens in Hakone

Kowa Company, Ltd. is opening an art museum hotel "Espacio Hakone Geihinkan Rin-Poh-Ki-Ryu" in Miyanoshita, Hakone Town, in the spring of 2024. The Espacio brand is a new hotel brand that unfolds under the concept of "BEYOND THE LUXURY," and this facility will be the second hotel under the brand.

The facility consists of nine private residential-style buildings and a spa salon, all surrounded by the natural beauty of Hakone. Each guest room features a private pool and hot spring, with each room's art direction handled by different artists and decorated using traditional crafts. Guests can reach the hotel by a private mountain tram (monorail), offering an escape from the hustle and bustle of city life to enjoy tranquility and relaxation.

Hakone is a popular area among visitors to Japan, known for nature spots like Lake Ashi and the Owakudani Valley, as well as traditional Japanese inns. Its relatively easy access from the central part of Tokyo adds to its appeal. "Espacio Hakone Geihinkan Rin-Poh-Ki-Ryu" will serve as a new and attractive option for accommodations focusing on privacy for executive and VIP meetings or incentive travel.
