A Wellness Garden Themed Around Olives Opens on Shodoshima Island

Shodoshima Healthy Land Co., Ltd. will grandly open "Millennium Olive Terrace for your wellness" on March 15, 2024, in Shodoshima, Kagawa Prefecture. Themed around olives, this facility features a millennia-old olive tree as its symbol and offers experiences to pursue the well-being of both mind and body. The wellness garden includes small villas "The STAY", an olive retreat spa "The SPA", and a communication lounge "The GATE LOUNGE", supporting the physical and mental health of its visitors through various olive-related experiences.

Olive cultivation and olive oil production in Japan are especially active on Shodoshima Island, located in the Seto Inland Sea. This is due to the warm climate and rich natural environment that provide ideal conditions for growing olives.
